Discussione fra operatori Wescam

Citazione:
1-When using the remote, we often loose control of the Wescam for no apparent reason. One moment everything looks great, then the camera takes on a mind of it's own. This is not uncommon when operating the system onboard and usually points to a software glitch, which is usually addressed by a Wescam technician through his laptop software. Operating the system through a remote setup from the station…it may be information lost in the data stream. I’m guessing you have nav-trac as well? How old is the system? Which model and how many hours? I recommend putting an operator on board to solve the “remote problem”! :D

2-The remote only controls the Wescam (lense), but does not control the camera unit mounted in the back of the aircraft. That camera unit contains the white balance and gain contols. As a result, we have to flip to filter 3 prematurely during morning hours, making morning shots too dark. At dusk, the same issue, we stay on filter 3 until it is completely dark. If we flip to filter 1 when we need to, video is blue. White balancing with the remote is not an option. All camera operations including any CCU, focus, filter and lens adjustments are reached through the on-board Wescam menu both laptop and T-handle. Where did you CCU control go and why wouldn’t you be able to get access through the menu? Something is screwed up here and its probably related to the “special remote control from the station” option. This is a new one on me but it sounds like either the filter wheel selector has been disabled in the T-handle menu to accommodate the remote system employed or again, you have a soft-ware glitch that needs addressed by Wescam. Has this been like this from day one of use or developed over time?

Ma sono chiacchiere e distintivi....ovvio!
