Ciò che indico a continuazione vuole solo essere motivo di eventuali considerazioni, non certamente un'affermazione di qualcosa. Tutto sempre alla ricerca di spunti che ci consentano di "collegare" ed eventualmente capire.

Based in Washington D.C., Omega Air, Inc. handles all military and commercially related activity for the group in the United States, including management of in-flight refuelling contracts and conversion of aircraft to dual role tanker transport. It communicates and interacts with FAA and other U.S. Government agencies and departments in relation to all the regulatory and legal requirements of the various projects currently in progress.

[

In July 2000, Omega made aviation history when it completed U.S. Navy ground and flight testing of the world’s first commercial aerial refueling tanker aircraft. The testing was conducted at the U.S. Naval Air Warfare Centre, Patuxent River, Maryland. Preceding Navy testing, the Los Angeles office of the FAA issued Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) ST00888LA for the installation of the refueling equipment and associated structural modifications.

Since this time, Omega’s commercial tanker, offered to armed forces worldwide as a lease option to fulfill in-flight refueling requirements, has:

• Refueled over 8000 military fighter aircraft
• Performed over 750 missions
• Flown over 3000 hours
• Offloaded over 28 million pounds (4 million gallons) of fuel

Se vogliamo fare i sospettosi o complottisti diremo che non ci vorrebbero molte modifiche alla fine....

Leaked E-mail Exchanges Show Collusion Between Boeing Co., Air Force, and Pentagon

01-Sep-03

Military Contractors

"Dozens of e-mail exchanges among Boeing Co., the Air Force and the Pentagon...raised fresh questions about a controversial $22.5 billion deal to lease, then buy 100 Boeing 767 tankers.... The documents...show a close relationship between Boeing and Air Force officials, including AF Sec. James Roche, as well as details of a rival bid by Airbus SA. For instance, Gerald Daniels, then head of Boeing's military aircraft and missile systems, told Chairman Phil Condit he had 'excellent discussions' with Roche and his chief of staff a week earlier. 'Question is the terms of the deal, not if there will be a deal...All are willing to fight for this,' Daniels wrote. In other memos, Boeing officials say Air Force officials gave them details of the size and price of the Airbus 330 bid.... [Keith Ashdown with Taxpayers for Common Sense said,] 'Instead of the Air Force acting as an independent reviewer of this nearly $30 billion deal, they've acted as a silent business partner of Boeing.'
