Aerei dirottati ed usati come arma contro il WTC ed il Pentagono!

L'aspetto ironico è che il piano è stato rigettato perchè "troppo irreale". Ma è chiaro che Al Quaeda non sarebbe mai riuscita a portarleo a termine.
Fatto sta che la mattina dell'11 settembre parecchie esercitazioni coinvolgevano il NORAD e la CIA.
Una di queste esercitazioni ha spedito gran parte dei jet in Alaska a combattere i Russi.
Una ha spedito i jet che normalmente erano pronti a difendere quello spazio di cielo a performing bombing runs over an empty stretch of the Pine Barrens near Atlantic City after being decommissioned from their usual role of protecting the skies of the east coast
Questi jet were just eight minutes away from New York and could have intercepted both Flight 11 and Flight 175..
Infatti under NORAD procedures that date to the Cold War, two F-16 fighters from the 177th were parked around the clock on the Atlantic City runway. Pilots waited in a nearby building, ready to scramble.
E dunque it was only after both trade towers were hit that the two F-16s landed and were refitted with air-to-air missiles, then sent aloft.

Dawne Deskins, NORAD unit's airborne control and warning officer, was overseeing the exercise. At 8:40am she took a call from Boston Center which said it had a hijacked airliner. Her first words, as quoted by Newhouse News Service were, "It must be part of the exercise." This is another example of how the numerous drills on the morning of 9/11 deliberately distracted NORAD so that the real hijacked planes couldn't be intercepted in time.
4) OPERATION NORTHERN GUARDIAN: The details of this exercise are still scant but it is considered to be part of Vigilant Guardian, relating to simulating hijacked planes in the north eastern sector.
5) OPERATION VIGILANT WARRIOR: This was referenced in Richard Clarke's book 'Against All Enemies'. It is thought to have been the 'attack' component of the Vigilant Guardian exercise.
Come vedi e come si sente in Loose Change, un tizio al Norad, alla telefonata che lo avvertiva del dirottamento, chiede se la telefonata sia parte di una esercitazione o sia reale.

P.S. per la serie coincidenze (grazie per il link, gold), il manuale delle procedure in caso di attacco terroristico era stato cambiato a giugno 2001 (tanto per evitare che qualche "eroe" si mettesse in testa di andare ad abbattere gli aerei)
Infatti, prima di questa data, il manuale diceva
4.7.1. Immediate Response. Requests for an immediate response (i.e., any form of immediate action taken by a DoD Component or military commander to save lives, prevent human suffering, or mitigate great property damage under imminently serious conditions) may be made to any Component or Command.
e dice anche:
4.5. With the exception of immediate responses under imminently serious conditions, as provided in subparagraph 4.7.1., below, any support that requires the deployment of forces or equipment assigned to a Combatant Command by Secretary of Defense Memorandum (reference (j)), must be coordinated with the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
Poi è stato cambiato e le decisioni non potranno essere prese da any Component or Command
Dopo l'11 settembre questo manuale è tornato come prima del 1 giugno.
