These groups form the core of the ultraright World Anti-Communist League [WACL], which in the 1980s oversaw the private funding network for the Nicaraguan contras in cooperation with the New York branch of SMOM and a cabal of American Knights, including former CIA Director William Casey and J. Peter Grace.
