Dopo un po’, la versione diventava che egli aveva visto:

pieces of the fuselage, the wings [!!], the landing gear, pieces of the engine, seats

Per cui poteva giurare: «it was a plane».

Quanto ai debunkers: Attivissimo, si capisce, con il suo ben noto rigore metodologico, predilige la seconda versione, e parla dei

numerosi rottami, grandi e piccoli, compatibili con un Boeing 757, fotografati e testimoniati, per esempio dal capo dei pompieri Ed Plaugher.
